
Any children on the farm need to be monitored 24/7. The Stockyard camp is not a suitable place to leave children unattended. Campers can bring their own or we also supply them. Featuring a 44km long dramatic coastline where you can spot native birds and wildlife, there is a wonderful array of natural locations to explore and activities to take part in. Please note that - pets must be well behaved and on a leash at all times. Keira Farm allows campers to bring pets and enjoy a fire to make sharing time on the farm extra special. Section 38 allows anglers to be within the bed of a river or stream.

The right to fish in tidal or non-tidal waters is subject to any restriction imposed by the Fisheries Management Act 1994 ire fishing rules. You may need to do a safe u-turn just past the park entrance to. Under section 38 it declares that the public has a right to fish despite the private ownership of the bed of the river or creek. Stockyard Campground sits right by the Wilsons Promontory National Park entrance. Follow the Monash Freeway east before turning onto the South Gippsland Freeway and following signs to Wilsons Promontory. We we are happy for campers to bring firewood to the farm and they have the choice of utilising our communal fire pit area or one of the individual fire pits provided. Stockyards Camp is approximately 2.5-hours drive south east of Melbourne. After 15 minutes or so you will enter Byfield National Park which will be clearly displayed by the big green timber sign. This is a corrugated and pot holed road so let your tyre pressures down and drive slowly. The camping area includes an amenities block with flushing toilets and hot showers included in the price, perfect for those cold winter nights. Water Park Road is sealed and eventually becomes Stockyard Point Track which is a gravel road. We limit the numbers of campers at any one time to ensure they do not have others encroaching on their space. Campers are not confined to individual campsites and can setup anywhere with in the camping paddock. There is plenty of room for campers to spread out and is accessible by most vehicles. The camping site is suitable for 2WD, 4WD, RVs, camper trailers and Caravans and is easily accessed off road, on a flat grassy area. Please drive carefully and look out for wildlife.

Camping is available on Keira Farm, in a six acre fenced designated area, ensuring close contact to livestock without having a cow trying to share your tent. Tidal River is a 30-minute drive from the park’s entrance.
